All workshops run at our training venue in Swallowfield, RG7 1RN, near Reading, Berkshire.

We keep our classes small so learners get plenty of hands-on support. Class sizes vary depending on the workshop, but we aim to keep training personal, practical and supportive.

Our practical group courses require a minimum of 3 participants to run. This helps us create a better group learning environment and allows us to cover the raw material costs involved in delivering each hands-on workshop.

Yes. Many of our classes are designed for complete beginners, homeowners and people who want to feel more confident with practical DIY skills. You do not need previous experience to attend our beginner classes.

Each workshop focuses on practical, hands-on skills relevant to that course. You’ll be taught the core tools, methods, techniques and finishing steps needed for that subject, with guidance from your coach throughout.

For example, our DIY classes cover practical home skills such as fixing, measuring, drilling, wall mounting and using tools safely. Our tiling courses cover preparation, setting out, cutting, adhesive, grout, silicone and finishing techniques. Our carpentry and flooring classes focus on practical skills you can use at home or to build confidence in a trade environment.

Yes. We can offer tailored training packages for career changers, people looking to move into hands-on work, and tradespeople who want to add tiling or practical DIY skills to their existing services.

This can be especially useful for plumbers, bathroom fitters, property maintenance workers, landlords, handymen, renovators and anyone who wants to expand their skill set. Please contact us to discuss your goals and we can advise on the most suitable training option.

Yes. We now cater for corporate events, practical team-building sessions and group workshops. These can include DIY, tiling, flat pack, carpentry, flooring or practical challenge-based activities depending on your requirements.

Corporate and team-building sessions are quoted individually based on group size, location, course type and requirements. Please contact us for a tailored quote.

We are currently gauging interest in an LVT flooring course. There is a waiting list available on our Book a Class page.

If you see a past date showing for LVT, please ignore the date — it is only there to help us gauge interest and collect waiting list enquiries. Once there is enough demand, we will look at adding future LVT course dates.

No, you do not need your own tools to start. Tools and materials are provided for the workshop unless stated otherwise.

If you already have tools, you are welcome to bring them and we can help you understand how to use them correctly and advise what is worth investing in.

Wear comfortable clothes or workwear that you do not mind getting dusty, plus sturdy closed-toe footwear. You may also want to bring a notebook or use your phone for notes.

We supply PPE where required, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Our classes are hands-on. You’ll practise the skills being taught rather than just watching demonstrations. The exact tasks depend on the workshop you book.

On relevant tiling workshops, we cover safe cutting techniques and explain when different tools are used. Grinder use depends on the course, learner ability, safety considerations and the specific workshop being delivered.

Course dates can vary. Please check our Book a Class page for live availability and upcoming dates.

If a course is showing as a waiting list or interest-only option, this means we are gauging demand before confirming future dates.

Our practical courses require a minimum of 3 participants to run. This helps us create a great group learning environment and allows us to cover the raw material costs involved in delivering each hands-on workshop.

To make this risk-free for you, we use a card-authorisation system. When you register, you enter your card details to secure your place, but you are charged £0.00 upfront.

If the class reaches the minimum of 3 people by 72 hours before the start time, we will confirm the workshop and process your payment.

If the minimum number is not reached, we will cancel the session, no money will leave your account, and we will contact you to help find a future date that suits you. If you have your heart set on a specific date, we highly recommend inviting a friend, family member, or project partner to sign up with you. This immediately helps us hit our 3-person minimum and guarantees the class will run!
